Oneplus TV U1:Everything you need to know for sure.

So Oneplus has finally understood the mentality of the users while buying a smart Tv in India. And considering these aspects, OnePlus has decided to compete for power with brands like Xiaomi, Realme, Vu etc. Xiaomi has been ruling the Smart TV market in India since Q2 2018. But Oneplus has made a reputation by their Premium Flagship TV series Q1 and now they are providing some high specs at a competitive price, So user’s will already have a positive opinion about it.

Today One Plus launched their 2 series of OnePlus smart Tv in India, namely the Oneplus Y series which introduces a 32in variant and a 43in variant and the U-series only brings a 55″ Smart TV U1.

Display-wise OnePlus TV U1 brings a premium looking bezel-less LED panel to the top and sides and a slightly thicker bottom bezel in order to accommodate the OnePlus logo as branding. The back of the TV is similar to the High-End QLED TV Q1 with the top having the brush metal finish and a carbon fibre cover for the bottom side.

The front of the device i.e.the display of a TV is one of the most important things to look for in a TV and the Oneplus Smart TV U1 doesn’t disappoint us in terms of Display. The display panel here is a 55-inch 4K LED Panel with a 95% Screen to Body Ratio. The resolution here is 3840 x 2160 and the display has 93% DCI P3 colour Gamut Support. On top, It has an HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision Certifications which will surely improve your viewing experience.

OnePlus also included the Same tech called Gamma engine which was used in the premium Q1 series which offers features like MEMC, dynamic contrast, noise reduction, Super-resolution and what not.

OnePlus Smart TV U1 is powered by 1.5 GHz  Mediatek MT5887 quad-core processor coupled with Mali-G51 MP4 GPU.

In terms of Ram, OnePlus TV is equipped with a 3GB of RAM and 16GB of Storage on board so no problems in terms of loading and reading speeds and running apps on this SMART TV.

OnePlus Smart TV U1 is preloaded with Android TV 9.0 which is also in the premium Q1 series TV from OnePlus.It has other first-party apps installed like the Oxygen Play and Data saver plus features pre-installed. It also includes third-party streaming services like Netflix, Mx player, Disney+Hotstar, Prime Video, Jio Cinema etc pre-installed.

In terms of Audio, the OnePlus Smart TV is equipped with  4× 30W speakers with 2 full-range speakers and two dedicated tweeters to help cover high frequency. It supports DTS Audio and Dolby Atmos for more surround sound and clear audio quality to match the Display Standards.

Last year OnePlus launched the OnePlus connect the app with the premium  Q1 series and it offered some much-needed features which were not available in any stock Android TV.

You can install the OnePlus Connect app on your Device and take a break from doing such time-consuming things like typing via remote etc. Here are some of the features of the OnePlus Connect app.

You can connect the TV to the OnePlus Connect app, which then enables features like Quick App Switch (multi-tasking, a feature missing in Android TV), TypeSync (using phone’s keyboard to input text on TV), trackpad(Using your phone screen as a trackpad to navigate on the TV), smart volume control, and more. There are some features such as turning on TV via the app, multi-device control (enables 5 users to link the OnePlus TV to the app on their phone including the iPhone), and auto-hotspot sharing.

Oneplus has included 3x HDMI, 1x USB 3.0, 1x USB 2.0, RF port, optical port, Ethernet, and AV port. The 55-inch OnePlus TV supports dual-band WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz & 5GHz) and Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless connectivity purposes.

OnePlus Smart TV U1 55inches 4K is priced at INR 49999 in India and will be available for sale on Amazon India starting July 5th.
