WhatsApp, the widely used instant messaging app owned by Facebook, has recently taken steps to improve the user experience on its platform with the introduction of several new features. These updates aim to offer users more control over their status updates, a more personal and expressive way of communicating, and an easier way to stay updated with their friends and contacts.
1.Private Audience
The first new feature, the Private Audience Selector, gives users the flexibility to select their desired audience for each status update they share. This means that users can choose who sees their status each time they post, providing them with greater control over their privacy. The audience selection made for the most recent status will be saved and used as the default for the next status.

2.Voice status
In an effort to make status updates more personal, WhatsApp has also introduced the Voice Status feature, which allows users to record and share voice messages up to 30 seconds in length. This is especially useful for those who feel more comfortable expressing themselves through speech rather than text.

3.Status Reaction
Status Reactions, the second most requested feature from users following the launch of Reactions last year, have now been added to WhatsApp. Users can now quickly respond to status updates from their friends and contacts with a tap on one of eight emojis. In addition to the reactions, users can still reply to a status with text, voice messages, stickers, and other forms of media.

4.Status profile rings
Another new addition is the Status Profile Rings, which will help users stay updated with the status updates of their loved ones. This ring will appear around a contact’s profile picture whenever they post a status update and will be visible in the chat list, group participant list, and contact information. This will ensure that users never miss a status update from their important contacts.

5.Link Preview
Lastly, the Link Previews feature has been added to WhatsApp’s status updates, allowing users to view a visual preview of the link content before clicking on it. This enhances the look of statuses and gives users a better idea of what they’re clicking on, making their experience on the platform even more seamless and user-friendly.

Roll Out Schedule
These new features are being rolled out to users globally and are expected to be available to everyone in the coming weeks. With these updates, WhatsApp is making it easier for users to express themselves and connect with others in a more personal, secure, and expressive way.
