Google meet which was initially Hangouts meet got much attention in this pandemic era as the demand for large scale video calling increased. Google leveraged this opportunity to bring their own group video calling service under the new name called Google Meet and also updated it regularly to being features like background blur and much more.
Now as per the statement from Google on Friday, Google meet is getting a new UI overhaul which paves the way for some new changes which are similar to those rolled out for iOS earlier.
These new updated UI features a Quick Launch Summary and a New Meeting button that will bring up three options:
- Get meeting joining info to share with others.
- Start a Meet call instantly.
- Schedule a new meeting in Google Calendar.
- The colour scheme of the app also changes to blue instead of the regular green accent which was present earlier.
This new update will be available to download for all Android devices soon so that you can enjoy it at the earliest.
