Samsung Galaxy Note 8 a flagship device from Samsung from almost 3 years old is still getting new updates even though it is just for security patch and nothing more. With the Galaxy NOTE 20 ULTRA launch ahead, the company officials would have been busy making that one perfect but still, the Samsung Updates team is working on providing Software update to their devices even in this work from home situation.
Galaxy Note 8 is getting update every month since the last few months even though it is just a security patch. This update brings with it the July 2020 security patch. The July security patch brings fixes for four critical Android OS vulnerability and 17 bugs fixed in Samsung’s own UI. also fixes a bug that would cause a phone to restart or get stuck in a boot loop when a certain kind of wallpaper was applied, the wallpaper which induced havoc in SmartPhone s especially in Samsung devices.
The July security update is carrying firmware version N950FXXSCDTF1, for the Note 8 is currently available for the Exynos model in Chile and Argentina. It’s likely to expand to more markets soon, and to check if it’s out in your country, you can open the phone’s Settings app, select Software Update, and tap Download and install.
