As we know realme has teased its Realme UI and we have talked about it in my one of the previous posts.
Now that the realme UI is released also let’s not waste much time in it and lets get started.
- ALL NEW DESIGN/UI.
REALME UI IS BASED ON ANDROID 10 AND COLOR OS7 which is a total revamp from the bulky color os 6.0. Look wise it has a stock Android-like experience and everything is so minimalistic but also gives a colourful experience. Icons are also minimalistic now. Volume sliders are also now pretty thin and comfortable, just like stock Android. goggle search bar is now also at the bottom.
Look wise it looks and feels great.
- NEW NOTIFICATION PANEL & QUICK TOGGLE TRAY.
Realme UI now has approached a whole completely new design for the notification panel and quick toggles. The notification panel is now much cleaner and also minimalistic and is now made for easier reachability for tall phones and one-handed UI for the quick toggles. Now you could also see the status bar at the top even when notification panel is pulled down unlike the previous color os6.0.
- APP DRAWER.
The app drawer in this new realme UI is much cleaner than ever before, The icons size is increased a bit more but still, they look more stock android like arranged and also the shape of the search bar changed and it looks great. The animations of the app drawer are pretty fast. The side slider on the app drawer is now increased in size for easier reach.
- DARK MODE
Finally, the much-awaited and most craved feature is now here on realme UI, the dark mode.
- LIVE WALLPAPERS.
Realme UI now has a bunch of new live WALLPAPERS and now they are even supported on lock screen.
- Universal themes.
REALME UI now has around 3-4 universal themes and some of them are said to be free but I didn’t see them in the theme store maybe they will be available after some time.
- NEW PRIVACY FEATURES.
I will not say that this feature was not available in the previous color os but now it is more powerful and more optimised and more efficient because it is now coupled with Android 10.
- Random MAC ADDRESS.
Realme UI has this pretty cool feature called random MAC address for wifi.whenever we are connected to any wifi our device’s MAC address is exposed for any potential hacker to misuse that’s why this feature generates a random MAC address every time you connect to wifi.
- New nature sounds.
Realme has offered a new nature sound effect s and much improvement in the notification tunes and ringtones. Now the notification alerts tunes are much smaller and now feels very good to hear.
- FOCUS MODE.
Realme UI now offers a feature called focus mode which is kind of like Zen mode in OxygenOS.Focus mode when turned on helps in focus and also plays nature sounds in the background until the timer runs out.
- Power off switch.
Realme UI now has the power off switch on the side of the power off button and it’s much smaller and cleaner and doesn’t take up the whole screen. It also has a secure lock option which allows only unlock with your registered password and no face unlocking or fingerprint works until you unlock using the password to ensure security.
- Animations
Realme UI now has much more fluid animations than ever and it also has many tiny little improvements in the animations which will not look like anything but it makes a difference in the long term.
Animations and transitions are now pretty smooth and many menus which earlier would be opened in a whole new screen now just opens like a pop-up drawer on the same screen.
Animations are now so smooth and this realme UI update has made the face unlock in realme 3 pro faster than ever before. The charging animations have been also changed. The icon of face unlocks also looks good now.
- Smart Sidebar.
The smart sidebar is a pretty handy tool but now it is much sleek and in a single vertical column and has support for floating window format of opening the app from this sidebar. And there is one more feature, to open any app in split-screen you just have to drag the app icon to the main screen and it will instantly convert into the split-screen.
The floating windows are supported by limited apps such as messages, WhatsApp, calculator etc.
- Screen on time
Realme UI now shows the screen on time in the battery part of the settings menu.
- DUAL EARPHONES FEATURE.
Realme UI now has a unique feature of the dual earphone mode which is pretty cool and lets you use Bluetooth earphones and a wired earphone at the same time.
- Other Customisation Options
Realme UI now offers many customisation options such as icon customisation in which you can use preset icons themes or even and art+ icons and if you didn’t like them then you could also set custom shapes and sizes of the icons.
You can even change fonts and themes and WALLPAPERS too.
You can also add new widgets too.
These are some of important points that I considered for this review of REALME UI.
Realme UI is in a staged rollout and has reached maximum users of realme 3 pro and realme xt and those who still didn’t receive the update can now download the update file manually.
