Xiaomi launched the MI A3 in India with Android one programme. The device series, MI A series is seriously cursed in terms of software updates even though it is running Android one program. The devices received the Android 10 update back in February 2020, but it had so many bugs so company developers pulled back the update and fixed some bugs and rolled out another update in April 2020. To our surprise, this update was also unstable and had some bugs so they pulled the update back again. And after taking another 2 months, they released the update in June 2020 which was considered to be usable.
Now Xiaomi has pushed another update to the Mi A3 via OTA. The firmware version this update carries is 11.0.3.0.QFQMXTC. We saw many users on the community complaining about this particular update when they installed it in their respective device. The update directly affects the dual sim connectivity on their device and the second sim is not available for use in MI A3.
A user on Mi community said that,
What have you done? After the update, the second SIM card is no longer available. Two applications appeared that were completely unnecessary to me… What kind of update was this ???
Many users globally are facing the same problem and have been complaining about it on twitter and mi community forum. Users have also reported that they have noticed a couple of new applications on their devices.
The update is around 1.4GB in size and we would not suggest you guys download and update it wait for Xiaomi team to acknowledge the issue and fix it. Then they will release the new update. When it is confirmed then only you should install the update.
