Redmi 9 Power launched in India.

In the post-pandemic era, Xiaomi began introducing new phones in their most popular Redmi Note series in India. Redmi Note 9 and Note 9 pro/pro max were so popular in India but they were only launched in Indian and European markets and not in China.

Now Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 9 series in China but along with it they also launched the Redmi note 4G with Snapdragon 662 and a triple camera setup on the rear. This is the same phone which Xiaomi launched in India today as the Redmi note 9 power with the focus being the Massive 6000mAh battery.

Although it is intended for the budget segment, the Redmi 9 Power features a stereo speaker setup for surrounding audio. The 6000mAh battery is complemented by 18W fast charging but you get a 22.5W charger in the box so you can use it with other devices as well.

Redmi 9 Power features a quad camera setup on the rear including a 48MP primary camera with a Samsung GM2 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2MP depth sensor, a 2MP macro camera. The Chinese variant of this device didn’t have the 2MP macro camera in the triple camera setup. On the front side, the smartphone features an 8MP camera for selfie and front video calls.

The Redmi note 9 power is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 662 SoC which is expected at this budget price range. It is also equipped with a 4GB of Ram and Up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 Storage. However, the Chinese Variant of this device had up to 8 gigabytes of Ram.

In terms of Software experience, Redmi 9 Power runs MIUI 12 out of the box. The smartphone is available in four different colours — black, orange, green, and blue. The smartphone will be available in India starting December 23rd on Amazon India, Mi.com, and Mi Home retail stores.
