Redmi announced two of their entry-level phones in Malaysia today with the two new chipsets which were announced by Mediatek recently. These chipsets are of the G series which are focused on gaming so providing better performance even in day to day usage.
The two phones which are launched today are redmi 9A and Redmi 9C. Redmi 9A is powered by the MediaTek helio G25 chipset whereas the latter one is powered by the Mediatek Helio G35 chipset.
Redmi 9C is a slight upgrade over the Redmi 9A in terms of specs and over-all value. It is powered by the latest budget-level gaming chipsets from Mediatek, the MediaTek helio G35. It can handle day to day tasks very smoothly and can also run games without breaking a sweat. Of course, it is not as powerful as the midrange level G80 and G90T chipsets but it can handle pretty much everything at this price point in the entry-level segment.
The display here is a 6.53 inches IPS LCD panel with a dot notch in the top centre. The resolution of the display is HD+ 720p which is quite decent at this price point considering the entry-level nature of the device.
Redmi 9C has a massive 5000 mAh battery along with the 10W wired charger included in the box. The device is said to last almost two days which is pretty great.
In terms of storage and Ram, Redmi 9C is equipped with up to 4GB of LPDDR4X ram coupled with up to 64GB of eMMC 5.1 storage type.
Redmi 9C comprises of a triple camera setup at the back in a square-shaped array with LED flash. The primary sensor is a 13 MP Along with a 2MP Macro and a 2MP depth sensor. But why? Don’t know about it yet.
The front camera is the same 5MP shooter embedded in a dot notch.
In terms of security, Redmi 9C has a rear-mounted Fingerprint sensor and software-based MIUI face unlock.

Redmi 9C will be available for sale in Late July in Malaysia and it could launch in other countries too soon after. It is priced at RM 429 (~$100).
