Oppo Find X2 Review:A display that caught the eye.

The oppo find X2 was launched in the global market just after the launch in their native country China. But after the coronavirus outbreak and the lockdown made them delay the launch of the OPPO Find X2 series in the Indian market. But finally, after the eases in restrictions which allowed the OEM’S to start manufacturing and selling their products in the market, Oppo has launched the flagship FIND X2 series in India.

Oppo finds X2 is a remarkable device in terms of specs. It has a stunning design, a buttery smooth display, superfast charging and capable camera setup. There are 2 devices in this find x2 series namely the Find X2 and Find X2 pro. The latter is not yet available for sale.

Let’s first talk about the build quality of the Find X2. The device has 2 variant in colour and in terms of build material too. The black colour Variant has the ceramic back which gives it a premium look and feel. Ceramic finish enables better and premium design which will surely enhance your in-hand feel of the device. The other colour variant Ocean has the glass back which is standard in flagship devices nowadays. Oppo Find X2 weighs about 209g for the ceramic black Variant and around 192g for the glass variant. Even though with all this weight, oppo find X2 is only 8.00mm in terms of thickness.

Now let’s move on to the part of the device with which we interact the most, the display. The display here is a massive 6.7inches OLED panel with a pinhole cut out in the corner to house a selfie camera. The panel is HDR10+ certified and it has an A+ grade from DisplayMate.As most of the flagships in 2020 are now required to have at least a 90Hz refresh rate panel for higher refresh rate, this device brings a 120Hz refresh rate QHD+(3168×1440) panel and a touch sampling rate up to 240Hz. This will ensure you smooth frames all around and this high touch response will make using the device much smoother and responsive. A good thing about this device that it lets you use the device on QHD+ resolution along with the 120Hz screen Refresh rate turned on at the same time unlike the other device i.e.Samsung galaxy S20 Ultra which lets you use 120Hz only while at FHD+ resolution. The display is so bright that you don’t have to worry about using it in broad daylight. The brightness can go up to  1200nits. The pixel density here on this device is 513ppi. Due to small punch hole and curved edges, the oppo find X2 has a screen to body ratio of 93.1%.In terms of screen protection, the display panel is protected by the latest and best in class Corning’s gorilla glass 6 so you don’t have to worry about accidental drops.

In terms of performance, the OPPO find X2 is powered by the latest and best in class Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Processor. This ensures top-notch performance in every way. The GPU here is the ADRENO 650 which will enable high-end games to run efficiently and smoothly without any noticeable lags. As the chipset is built on 7nm fabrication process, it ensures better heat management and improved battery efficiency. The Processor is coupled with a 12GB LPDDR5 Ram and 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage which contributes to the faster app loading times and better Ram. However, the Expansion of storage via an expandable micro SD card is not allowed.

Oppo Find X2 is equipped with a 2 celled 4200mAh big battery. The battery is sufficient to power the device so is the charger. The charger with this device is the SuperVooc 2.0 based 65W blazing-fast charger, which lets you charge the device from 0-40% in just 10mins. And fully charge in approximately 30-35mins. This fast charging tech is certified TUV Rheinland and it ensures safe fast charging.

Audio and video experience with this device will make you feel that you are carrying your own personal theatre in your pocket. Oppo find X2 has dual stereo speakers which are equipped with DOLBY Atmos. This enables great bass and create such a sense of depth and surround sound effect that it would make a cinematic audio experience. Oppo claims that the find X2 series has a chip called O1 ULTRA vision engine which is basically an optimisation chip which enables ordinary videos to transform into High frame rate HDR content with great image quality to make use of the HDR10+ ULTRA SMOOTH display. Also, the motion compensation technology allows the videos which are running @30fps can be converted and enhanced to run at 60 fps or even 120fps to make use of the Ultra smooth 120Hz display. So to sum it up the great audio along with the HDR and high frame rate display will surely improve your viewing and listening experience.

In the camera department, Oppo find X2 is equipped with the triple rear camera setup, 48MP wide-angle lens being the primary camera. The sensor here is Sony IMX586 which is a year old sensor. It is a 6 element lens with Optical image stabilization (OIS).

13MP Telephoto lens which enables up to 5x hybrid zoom and up to 20x digital zoom. The 20x digital zoom is not usable in a normal scenario because of the digital nature.

A 12MP Ultrawide camera with Sony IMX 708 sensor which has an f/2.2 aperture provides up to 120° field of View(FOV). This remarkable Ultrawide camera also doubles as a macro camera for close up shots up to 3cm. The camera app has so many different options and features like Ultra night mode, portrait mode, macro mode etc.

The selfie camera is embedded in the punch hole cut out in the top left corner of the display is a 32MP f/2.4 aperture camera. It supports night mode from the front camera to take amazing selfies at night.

In terms of video recording, OPPO Find X2 supports video recording up to 4K@60fps.You can also use the Ultrawide camera for ultra-wide videos. In terms of stabilization, the camera here is equipped with both OIS(Optical Image Stabilization) as well as EIS(Electronic image stabilization). The front camera supports video recording 1080p/720p@30fps.
