Oppo launched a new entry-level smartphone under Rs.10000 in India, The Oppo A12. It is a phone which will be sold in the offline markets in India. The phone itself is powered by the MediaTek Helio P35 SOC, a 6.22-inch HD+ LCD panel and a big battery. The back panel resembles the 3D diamond-cut design from the realme 2 with a dual-camera setup and a physical fingerprint sensor.
The 6.22in display on this OPPO A12 comprises of a tiny waterdrop notch at the centre. The resolution is HD+ instead of FULL HD+ at this price range. The display has Corning’s gorilla glass 3 protection for the front panel which is a nice addition. Talking about the battery, the battery here is 4230mAh which Oppo claims to last almost 17 hours of watching videos online. The Processor could have been better considering the price.
Coming to the camera front, Oppo A12 packs a 13MP primary camera coupled with a 2MP depth sensor on the rear. It is equipped with a 5MP selfie camera inside the waterdrop notch.
The storage variants are 3GB 32GB and 4GB 64GB with a triple-slot with expandable memory up to 256GB. Oppo A12 runs COLOR OS 6.1 out of the box based on Android 9.0.
